I Tried Turning a Feeling Into a Song With Sondu AI
A cozy mood, a garden scene, and a song I didn’t expect.

First-person story
I’ve always had songs in my head that I couldn’t get out. I can hear the mood, sometimes even the chorus. But I don’t play an instrument, and music production apps often leave me overwhelmed.
When I found Sondu AI, I was curious. Could I type a feeling and get a finished track? Here’s how my first try went.
01
First impressions
The site felt clean and calm. Its smooth animations suited a tool built for creating music.
I especially liked the swipeable mood and genre images. Sometimes I can picture a scene but can’t describe it. Swiping until an image matched that feeling gave me a starting point.
A short GIF also showed how to write a prompt. I wasn’t left staring at a blank box.
02
Where I started
I chose dreamy pop with a relaxing vibe. My prompt described a flowery garden and a soft, mellow atmosphere. I felt cozy that day and wanted music to match.
03
What I got
I was surprised by how complete it sounded. To my ears, it felt like a track an artist had made. The dreamy, relaxing mood was close to what I imagined.
The lyrics impressed me most. I had only described a scene and mood, yet Sondu wrote words that suited them. The song felt like it belonged in that garden.
Progress messages kept me updated while the track was being built. I knew which stage it was in, so the wait felt clearer.

Genres, lyrics, and instrumentals
You can also begin with a genre. The previews include classical, gospel/Christian, folk, country, jazz, blues, reggae, and Latin. Listening first helps you find a sound you like.
Moods include melancholy, uplifting, aggressive, romantic, ethereal, and nostalgic. You can create a song from a prompt, turn your lyrics into music, or choose an instrumental.

Coming soon: mobile
Sondu’s site has a mobile-app waitlist, with Android planned first. I’d love to have it in my pocket when an idea arrives.

Who I think this is for
If you make videos, write lyrics, or want to explore music, this could be a starting point. Hearing your own idea take shape is reason enough to try.
My first prompt began with a feeling, not a polished plan. If you’re unsure where to start, the step-by-step guide below walks through Quick and Custom.
